তিনি বলেন, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম প্রাকৃতিক প্রয়োজনে বাইরে যান এবং তারপর ফিরে আসেন। আমি তাঁর নিকট পানি নিয়ে পৌঁছি। তিনি অযু করেন। তখন তাঁর পরনে শাম দেশীয় জুব্বা ছিল। তিনি কুলি করেন, নাক পরিষ্কার করেন এবং তাঁর মুখমন্ডল ধৌত করেন। এরপর তিনি আস্তিন থেকে দু’হাত বের করতে থাকেন, কিন্তু আস্তিন দু’টি ছিল সরু, তাই তিনি হাত দু’টি জামার নীচ দিয়ে বের করে দু’ হাত ধৌত করেন। এরপর মাথা মাসেহ করেন এবং মোজার উপর মাসেহ করেন। [১৮২] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৫৩৭৪, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu`ba:
The Prophet (ﷺ) went to answer the call of nature, and when he returned, I met him with water and he performed the ablution while he was wearing a Sham, cloak. He rinsed his mouth, put the water in his nose and blew it out, washed his face and tried to take his hands out of his sleeves, but they were too narrow, so he took out his hands from under his chest and washed them and then passed his wet hands over his head and Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather)
তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম একবার কৃপণ ও দানশীল ব্যক্তিকে এমন দু’ব্যক্তির সাথে তুলনা করেন, যাদের পরনে লোহার দু’টি বর্ম আছে। তাদের দু’ হাতই বুক ও ঘাড় পর্যন্ত পৌঁছে আছে। দানশীল ব্যক্তি যখন দান করে তখন তার বর্মটি এমনভাবে প্রশস্ত হয় যে, তার পায়ের আঙ্গুলের মাথা পর্যন্ত ঢেকে ফেলে এবং (প্রলম্বিত বর্মটি) পদচিহ্ন মুছে ফেলে। আর কৃপণ লোক যখন দান করতে ইচ্ছে করে, তখন তার বর্মটি শক্ত হয়ে যায় ও এক অংশ অন্য অংশের সাথে মিশে থাকে এবং প্রতিটি অংশ আপন স্থানে থেকে যায়। আবূ হুরাইরাহ বলেনঃ আমি দেখলাম, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম -কেতাঁর আঙ্গুল এভাবে বুকের দিক দিয়ে খোলা অংশের মধ্যে রেখে বলতে দেখেছি, তুমি যদি তা দেখতে যে, তিনি তা প্রশস্ত করতে চাইলেন কিন্তু প্রশস্ত হল না। [১৪৪৩] ইবনু তাউস (রহঃ) তার পিতা থেকে এবং আবূ যিনাদ, আ’রাজ থেকে এভাবে جُبَّتَيْنِ বর্ণনা করেন। আর জা‘ফর আ‘রাজ এর সূত্রে جُبَّتَانِ বর্ণনা করেছেন। হানযালা (রহ.) বলেনঃ আমি তাউসকে আবূ হুরাইরাহ থেকে جُبَّتَانِ বলতে শুনেছি। আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৫৩৭৩, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) has set forth an example for a miser and a charitable person by comparing them to two men wearing two iron cloaks and their hands are raised to their breasts and necks. Whenever the charitable man tries to give a charitable gift, his iron cloak expands till it becomes so wide that it will cover his fingertips and obliterate his tracks And, whenever the miser wants to give a charitable gift, his cloak becomes very tight over him and every ring gets stuck to its place Abu Huraira added; I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) putting his finger in the (chest) pocket of his shirt like that If you but saw him trying to widen (the opening of his shirt) but it did not widen
তিনি বলেন, আমি সফরে এক রাত্রে নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর সঙ্গে ছিলাম। তিনি বললেনঃ তোমার সঙ্গে পানি আছে কি? আমি বললামঃ হাঁ। তখন তিনি বাহন থেকে নামলেন এবং হেঁটে যেতে লাগলেন। তিনি এতদূর গেলেন যে, রাতের অন্ধকারে আমার নিকট থেকে অদৃশ্য হয়ে পড়লেন। তারপর তিনি ফিরে এলেন। আমি পাত্র থেকে তাঁর (উযূর) পানি ঢালতে লাগলাম। তিনি মুখমন্ডল ও দু’হাত ধুলেন। তিনি পশমের জামা পরিহিত অবস্থায় ছিলেন। তিনি তাত্থেকে হাত বের করতে পারলেন না, তাই জামার নীচ দিয়ে বের করে দু’হাত ধুলেন। তারপর মাথা মাস্হ করলেন। তারপর আমি তাঁর মোজা দু’টি খুলতে ইচ্ছে করলাম। তিনি বললেনঃ ছেড়ে দাও। কেননা, আমি পবিত্র অবস্থায় ও দু’টি পরেছি। তারপর ও দু’টির উপর মাস্হ করলেন। [১৮২] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৫৩৭৫, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated Al-Mughira:
One night I was with the Prophet (ﷺ) on a journey. He asked (me), "Have you got water with you?" I replied, "Yes" So he got down from his she-camel and went away till he disappeared in the darkness of the night. Then he came back and I poured water for him from the pot (for the ablution). He washed his face and hands while he was wearing a woollen cloak (the sleeves of which were narrow), so he could not take his arms out of it. So he took them out from underneath the cloak. Then he washed his forearms and passed his wet hands over his head. Then I tried to take off his Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather), but he said, "Leave them, for I have performed ablution before putting them on." And so he passed his wet hands over them
তিনি বলেন, যখন ‘আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু উবাই মারা গেল, তখন তার ছেলে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট আসল। সে বললঃ হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! আপনার জামাটি আমাকে দিন। আমি এটা দিয়ে তাকে কাফন দিব। আর তার জানাযাহর সালাত আপনি আদায় করবেন এবং তার জন্য ইস্তিগফার করবেন। তিনি নিজের জামাটি তাকে দিয়ে দেন এবং বলেন যে, তুমি (কাফন পরানো) শেষ করে আমাকে খবর দিবে। তারপর নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তার জানাযাহর সালাত আদায় করতে এলেন। ‘উমার(রাঃ) তাঁকে টেনে ধরে বললেনঃ আল্লাহ কি আপনাকে মুনাফিকদের (জানাযাহর) সালাত আদায় করতে নিষেধ করেননি? তিনি এ আয়াতটি পড়লেনঃ ‘তুমি তাদের জন্য ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা কর বা না কর (উভয়ই সমান), তুমি তাদের জন্য সত্তর বার ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করলেও আল্লাহ কক্ষনো তাদেরকে ক্ষমা করবেন না।’- (সূরাহ আত্-তওবা ৯/৮০)। তখন অবতীর্ণ হয়ঃ ‘তাদের কেউ মারা গেলে তুমি কক্ষনো তাদের জন্য (জানাযার) সালাত পড়বে না, আর তাদের কবরের পাশে দন্ডায়মান হবে না।’- (সূরাহ আত্-তওবা ৯/৮৪)। এরপর থেকে তিনি তাদের জানাযার সালাত আদায় করা বর্জন করেন। [১২৬৯] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৫৩৭২, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:
When `Abdullah bin Ubdi (bin Salul) died, his son came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said ' O Allah's Apostle, give me your shirt so that I may shroud my fathers body in it. And please offer a funeral prayer for him and invoke Allah for his forgiveness." The Prophet (ﷺ) gave him his shirt and said to him 'Inform us when you finish (and the funeral procession is ready) call us. When he had finished he told the Prophet (ﷺ) and the Prophet (ﷺ) proceeded to order his funeral prayers but `Umar stopped him and said, "Didn't Allah forbid you to offer the funeral prayer for the hypocrites when He said: "Whether you (O Muhammad) ask forgiveness for them or ask not forgiveness for them: (and even) if you ask forgiveness for them seventy times. Allah will not forgive them." (9.80) Then there was revealed: "And never (O Muhammad) pray for any of them that dies, nor stand at his grave." (9.34) Thenceforth the Prophet (ﷺ) did not offer funeral prayers for the hypocrites
