তিনি বলেন, আমরা খাইবার যুদ্ধে গিয়েছিলাম। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তখন তাঁর সঙ্গীদের মধ্য থেকে মুসলিম হওয়ার দাবীদার এক ব্যক্তি সম্পর্কে বললেন, লোকটি জাহান্নামী। এরপর যুদ্ধ আরম্ভ হলে লোকটি ভীষণভাবে যুদ্ধ চালিয়ে গেল, এমন কি তার দেহ বিক্ষত হয়ে গেল। এতে কারো কারো [রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর ভবিষ্যদ্বাণীর উপর] সন্দেহ সৃষ্টি হল। অতঃপর লোকটি আঘাতের যন্ত্রণায় অসহ্য হয়ে তূণীরের ভিতর হাত ঢুকিয়ে দিয়ে সেখান থেকে তীর বের করে আনল। আর তীরটি নিজের বক্ষদেশে ঢুকিয়ে আত্মহত্যা করল। তা দেখে কতিপয় মুসলিম দ্রুত ছুটে এসে বললেন, হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! আল্লাহ আপনার কথাকে সত্য প্রমাণিত করেছেন। ঐ লোকটি নিজেই নিজের বক্ষে আঘাত করে আত্মহত্যা করেছে। তখন তিনি বললেন, হে অমুক! দাঁড়াও এবং ঘোষণা দাও যে, মু’মিন ব্যতীত কেউ জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করতে পারবে না। অবশ্য আল্লাহ ফাসিক ব্যক্তি দ্বারাও দ্বীনের সাহায্য করে থাকেন। মা‘মার (রহ.) যুহরী (রহ.) থেকে উপরোক্ত হাদীস বর্ণনায় শু‘আয়ব (রহ.)-এর অনুসরণ করেছেন। [২৮৯৮, ৩০৬২] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৩৮৮৩, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Abu Huraira:
We witnessed (the battle of) Khaibar. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said about one of those who were with him and who claimed to be a Muslim. "This (man) is from the dwellers of the Hell-Fire." When the battle started, that fellow fought so violently and bravely that he received plenty of wounds. Some of the people were about to doubt (the Prophet's statement), but the man, feeling the pain of his wounds, put his hand into his quiver and took out of it, some arrows with which he slaughtered himself (i.e. committed suicide). Then some men amongst the Muslims came hurriedly and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Allah has made your statement true so-and-so has committed suicide. "The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O so-and-so! Get up and make an announcement that none but a believer will enter Paradise and that Allah may support the religion with an unchaste (evil) wicked man
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْتَقَى هُوَ وَالْمُشْرِكُونَ فَاقْتَتَلُوا، فَلَمَّا مَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى عَسْكَرِهِ، وَمَالَ الآخَرُونَ إِلَى عَسْكَرِهِمْ، وَفِي أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجُلٌ لاَ يَدَعُ لَهُمْ شَاذَّةً وَلاَ فَاذَّةً إِلاَّ اتَّبَعَهَا، يَضْرِبُهَا بِسَيْفِهِ، فَقِيلَ مَا أَجْزَأَ مِنَّا الْيَوْمَ أَحَدٌ كَمَا أَجْزَأَ فُلاَنٌ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَمَا إِنَّهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ". فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ أَنَا صَاحِبُهُ. قَالَ فَخَرَجَ مَعَهُ كُلَّمَا وَقَفَ وَقَفَ مَعَهُ، وَإِذَا أَسْرَعَ أَسْرَعَ مَعَهُ ـ قَالَ ـ فَجُرِحَ الرَّجُلُ جُرْحًا شَدِيدًا، فَاسْتَعْجَلَ الْمَوْتَ، فَوَضَعَ سَيْفَهُ بِالأَرْضِ وَذُبَابَهُ بَيْنَ ثَدْيَيْهِ، ثُمَّ تَحَامَلَ عَلَى سَيْفِهِ، فَقَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ، فَخَرَجَ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ قَالَ " وَمَا ذَاكَ ". قَالَ الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي ذَكَرْتَ آنِفًا أَنَّهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ، فَأَعْظَمَ النَّاسُ ذَلِكَ، فَقُلْتُ أَنَا لَكُمْ بِهِ. فَخَرَجْتُ فِي طَلَبِهِ، ثُمَّ جُرِحَ جُرْحًا شَدِيدًا، فَاسْتَعْجَلَ الْمَوْتَ، فَوَضَعَ نَصْلَ سَيْفِهِ فِي الأَرْضِ وَذُبَابَهُ بَيْنَ ثَدْيَيْهِ، ثُمَّ تَحَامَلَ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ عَمَلَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ، فِيمَا يَبْدُو لِلنَّاسِ، وَهْوَ مِنَ أَهْلِ النَّارِ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ عَمَلَ أَهْلِ النَّارِ، فِيمَا يَبْدُو لِلنَّاسِ، وَهْوَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ".
Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d As Saidi:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (and his army) encountered the pagans and the two armies.,, fought and then Allah's Apostle returned to his army camps and the others (i.e. the enemy) returned to their army camps. Amongst the companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) there was a man who could not help pursuing any single isolated pagan to strike him with his sword. Somebody said, "None has benefited the Muslims today more than so-and-so." On that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "He is from the people of the Hell-Fire certainly." A man amongst the people (i.e. Muslims) said, "I will accompany him (to know the fact)." So he went along with him, and whenever he stopped he stopped with him, and whenever he hastened, he hastened with him. The (brave) man then got wounded severely, and seeking to die at once, he planted his sword into the ground and put its point against his chest in between his breasts, and then threw himself on it and committed suicide. On that the person (who was accompanying the deceased all the time) came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said, "I testify that you are the Messenger of Allah." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Why is that (what makes you say so)?" He said "It is concerning the man whom you have already mentioned as one of the dwellers of the Hell-Fire. The people were surprised by your statement, and I said to them, "I will try to find out the truth about him for you." So I went out after him and he was then inflicted with a severe wound and because of that, he hurried to bring death upon himself by planting the handle of his sword into the ground and directing its tip towards his chest between his breasts, and then he threw himself over it and committed suicide." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) then said, "A man may do what seem to the people as the deeds of the dwellers of Paradise but he is from the dwellers of the Hell-Fire and another may do what seem to the people as the deeds of the dwellers of the Hell- Fire, but he is from the dwellers of Paradise
وَقَالَ شَبِيبٌ عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ شَهِدْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حُنَيْنًا. وَقَالَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم. تَابَعَهُ صَالِحٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ. وَقَالَ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ كَعْبٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ كَعْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ شَهِدَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَيْبَرَ. قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ وَأَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَسَعِيدٌ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
আবূ হুরাইরাহ (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, আমরা নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর সঙ্গে খাইবার যুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণ করলাম ......। (‘আবদুল্লাহ) ইবনু মুবারাক হাদীসটি ইউনুস-‘যুহরী-সা‘ঈদ [ইবনুল মুসাইয়্যাব (রহ.)] সূত্রে নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম থেকে বর্ণনা করেছেন। সালিহ (রহ.) যুহরী (রহ.) থেকে ইবনু মুবারাক (রাঃ)-এর মতোই বর্ণনা করেছেন। আর যুবাইদী (রহ.) হাদীসটি যুহরী, ‘আবদুর রহমান ইবনু কা‘ব, ‘উবাইদুল্লাহ ইবনু কা‘ব (রহ.) নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর সঙ্গে খাইবারে অংশগ্রহণকারী জনৈক সাহাবী থেকে বর্ণনা করেছেন। (যুবাইদী আরো বলেন) যুহরী (রহ.) এ হাদীসটিকে ‘উবাইদুল্লাহ ইবনু ‘আবদুল্লাহ এবং সা‘ঈদ (ইবনুল মুসাইয়্যাব) (রহ.) সূত্রে নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম থেকে বর্ণনা করেছেন। [৩০৬২] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৩৮৮৩, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ سَبَى النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَفِيَّةَ، فَأَعْتَقَهَا وَتَزَوَّجَهَا. فَقَالَ ثَابِتٌ لأَنَسٍ مَا أَصْدَقَهَا قَالَ أَصْدَقَهَا نَفْسَهَا فَأَعْتَقَهَا.
আনাস ইবনু মালিক (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম সাফিয়্যা (রাঃ)-কে বন্দী করেছিলেন। পরে তিনি তাঁকে আযাদ করে বিয়ে করেছিলেন। সাবিত (রহ.) আনাস (রাঃ)-কে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তাঁর মোহর কত নির্দিষ্ট করেছিলেন? আনাস (রাঃ) বললেনঃ স্বয়ং সাফিয়্যা (রাঃ)-কেই মোহর ধার্য করেছিলেন এবং তাঁকে মুক্ত করে দিয়েছিলেন। [৩৭১] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৩৮৮১, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)

Anas bin Malik said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) took Safiya as a captive. He manumitted her and married her." Thabit asked Anas, "What did he give her as Mahr (i.e. marriage gift)?" Anas replied. "Her Mahr was herself, for he manumitted her
