حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَصْحَابُ، مُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا عِدَّةَ أَصْحَابِ طَالُوتَ الَّذِينَ جَازُوا مَعَهُ النَّهَرَ، بِضْعَةَ عَشَرَ وَثَلاَثَمِائَةٍ. قَالَ الْبَرَاءُ لاَ وَاللَّهِ مَا جَاوَزَ مَعَهُ النَّهَرَ إِلاَّ مُؤْمِنٌ.
বারা (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, মুহাম্মাদ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর যে সব সাহাবী বদরে উপস্থিত ছিলেন তারা আমার কাছে বর্ণনা করেছেন যে, তাদের সংখ্যা তালুতের যে সব সঙ্গী নদী পার হয়েছিলেন তাদের সমান ছিল। তাদের সংখ্যা ছিল তিনশ’ দশেরও কিছু বেশী। বারা’ (রাঃ) বলেন, আল্লাহর কসম, ঈমানদার ব্যতীত আর কেউই তাঁর সঙ্গে নদী পার হতে পারেনি। [৩৯৫৮-৩৯৫৯] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৩৬৬৬, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Al-Bara:
The companions of (the Prophet) Muhammad who took part in Badr, told me that their number was that of Saul's (i.e. Talut's) companions who crossed the river (of Jordan) with him and they were over three-hundred-and-ten men. By Allah, none crossed the river with him but a believer. (See Qur'an 2:)

Narrated Al-Bara:
I and Ibn `Umar were considered too young (to take part) in the battle of Badr, and the number of the Emigrant warriors were over sixty (men) and the Ansar were over
তিনি বলেন, আমরা মুহাম্মাদ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর সাহাবীগণ পরস্পর আলোচনা করতাম যে, বাদর যুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণকারী সাহাবীদের সংখ্যা তালুতের সঙ্গে যারা নদী পার হয়েছিলেন তাদের সমানই ছিল এবং তিনশ’ দশ জনের অধিক ঈমানদার ব্যতীত কেউ তাঁর সঙ্গে নদী পার হতে পারেনি। [৩৯৫৭] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৩৬৬৭, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)

We, the Companions of Muhammad used to say that the number of the warriors of Badr was the same as the number of Saul's companions who crossed the river (of Jordan) with him, and none crossed the river with him but a believer, and they were over three-hundred-and-ten men
