তিনি বলেন, (খলীফা) ‘আবদুল মালিক (মক্কার গভর্নর) হাজ্জাজের নিকট লিখে পাঠালেন যে, হাজ্জের ব্যাপারে ইবনু ‘উমার-এর বিরোধিতা করবে না। ‘আরাফার দিনে সূর্য ঢলে যাবার পর ইবনু ‘উমার (রাঃ) হাজ্জাজের তাঁবুর কাছে গিয়ে উচ্চস্বরে ডাকলেন। আমি তখন তাঁর (ইবনু ‘উমারের) সাথেই ছিলাম, হাজ্জাজ হলুদ রঙের চাদর পরিহিত অবস্থায় বেরিয়ে আসলেন এবং বললেন, কী ব্যাপার, হে আবূ ‘আবদুর রহমান? ইবনু ‘উমার (রাঃ) বললেন, যদি সুন্নাতের অনুসরণ করতে চাও তা হলে চল। হাজ্জাজ জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, এ মুহূর্তেই? তিনি বললেন, হাঁ। হাজ্জাজ বললেন, সামান্য অবকাশ দিন, মাথায় পানি ঢেলে বের হয়ে আসি। তখন তিনি তার সওয়ারী হতে নেমে পড়লেন। অবশেষে হাজ্জাজ বেরিয়ে এলেন। এরপর হাজ্জাজ চলতে লাগলেন, আমি ও আমার পিতার মাঝে তিনি চললেন, আমি তাকে বললাম, যদি আপনি সুন্নাতের অনুসরণ করতে চান তা হলে খুত্বা সংক্ষিপ্ত করবেন এবং উকূফে দ্রুত করবেন। হাজ্জাজ ‘আবদুল্লাহর দিকে তাকাতে লাগলেন। ‘আবদুল্লাহ (রাঃ) যখন তাঁকে দেখলেন তখন বললেন, সে ঠিকই বলেছে। (১৬৬২, ১৬৬৩) (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ১৫৪৮, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Salim:
`Abdul Malik wrote to Al-Hajjaj that he should not differ from Ibn `Umar during Hajj. On the Day of `Arafat, when the sun declined at midday, Ibn `Umar came along with me and shouted near Al- Hajjaj's cotton (cloth) tent. Al-Hajjaj came Out, wrapping himself with a waist-sheet dyed with safflower, and said, "O Abu `Abdur-Rahman! What is the matter?" He said, If you want to follow the Sunna (the tradition of the Prophet (ﷺ) ) then proceed (to `Arafat)." Al-Hajjaj asked, "At this very hour?" Ibn `Umar said, "Yes." He replied, "Please wait for me till I pour some water over my head (i.e. take a bath) and come out." Then Ibn `Umar dismounted and waited till Al-Hajjaj came out. So, he (Al-Hajjaj) walked in between me and my father (Ibn `Umar). I said to him, "If you want to follow the Sunna then deliver a brief sermon and hurry up for the stay at `Arafat." He started looking at `Abdullah (Ibn `Umar) (inquiringly), and when `Abdullah noticed that, he said that he had told the truth
তিনি আনাস ইবনু মালিক (রাঃ)-কে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, তখন তাঁরা উভয়ে সকাল বেলায় মিনা হতে ‘আরাফার দিকে যাচ্ছিলেন, আপনারা এ দিনে আল্লাহর রাসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম -এর সঙ্গে থেকে কিরূপ করতেন? তিনি বললেন, আমাদের মধ্যে যারা তালবিয়া পড়তে চাইত তারা পড়ত, তাতে বাধা দেয়া হতো না এবং যারা তাকবীর পড়তে চাইত তারা তাকবীর পড়ত, এতেও বাধা দেয়া হতো না। (৯৭০) (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ১৫৪৭, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Muhammad bin Abu Bakr Al-Thaqafi:
I asked Anas bin Malik while we were proceeding from Mina to `Arafat, "What did you use to do on this day when you were with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ?" Anas said, "Some of us used to recite Talbiya and nobody objected to that, and others used to recite Takbir and nobody objected to that
উম্মু ফাযল বিনত হারিস (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত যে, লোকজন তাঁর সামনে ‘আরাফার দিনে নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম -এর সওম সম্পর্কে মতভেদ করছিলেন। কেউ বলছিলেন তিনি সায়িম আবার কেউ বলছিলেন তিনি সায়িম নন। অতঃপর আমি তাঁর কাছে এক পিয়ালা দুধ পাঠিয়ে দিলাম, তিনি তখন উটের উপর উপবিষ্ট ছিলেন, তিনি তা পান করে নিলেন। (১৬৫৮) (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ১৫৪৯, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Um Al-Fadl bint Al Harith:
On the day of `Arafat, some people who were with me, differed about the fasting of the Prophet (ﷺ) some said that he was fasting while others said that he was not fasting. So I sent a bowl full of milk to him while he was riding his camel, and he drank that milk
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمٌ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَيْرًا، مَوْلَى أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ، شَكَّ النَّاسُ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فِي صَوْمِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَبَعَثْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِشَرَابٍ فَشَرِبَهُ.
উম্মু ফাযল (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
