حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْعَتَكِيُّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ غَيْلاَنَ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ قَالَ أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَسْتَحْمِلُهُ فَرَأَيْتُهُ يَسْتَاكُ عَلَى لِسَانِهِ - قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَقَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ يَسْتَاكُ وَقَدْ وَضَعَ السِّوَاكَ عَلَى طَرَفِ لِسَانِهِ - وَهُوَ يَقُولُ " إِهْ إِهْ " . يَعْنِي يَتَهَوَّعُ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ فَكَانَ حَدِيثًا طَوِيلاً اخْتَصَرْتُهُ .
। আবূ বুরদাহ হতে তাঁর পিতার সূত্রে বর্ণিত। মুসাদ্দাদ বলেন, আমরা রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর নিকট (যুদ্ধের) বাহন চাইতে গেলাম। তখন তাঁকে দেখলাম, তিনি জিহ্বার উপর মিসওয়াক করছেন। আর সুলাইমান বর্ণনা করেন, আমি নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর নিকট গেলাম। তিনি তখন মিসওয়াক করছিলেন। তিনি তাঁর জিহ্বার এক পাশে মিসওয়াক রেখে উহ্! উহ্! বলছিলেন, অর্থাৎ বমির ভাব করছিলেন। [1] সহীহ : বুখারী ও মুসলিম। ইমাম আবূ দাউদ (রহঃ) বলেন, মুসাদ্দাদ বলেন, হাদীসটি দীর্ঘ, আমি তা সংক্ষেপে বর্ণনা করেছি।
Narrated Abu Burdah:
On the authority of his father ( Abu Musa al-Ash'ari), reported (according to the version of Musaddad) : We came to the Apostle of Allaah (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) to provide us with a mount, and found him using the tooth-stick, its one end being at his tongue (i.e. he wsa rinsing his mouth). According to the version of Sulaiman it goes : I entered upon the Prophet (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam ) who was using the tooth-stick, and had it placed at one side of his tongue, producing a gurgling sound. Abu Dawud said : Musaddad said that the tradition was a lengthy but he shortened it
। ‘আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনু ‘উমার (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু ইয়াহ্ইয়া ইবনু হাব্বান তার নিকট জিজ্ঞেস করেছিলেন, অযু থাকুক বা না থাকুক প্রত্যেক সালাতের পূর্বেই যে ‘আবদু্ল্লাহ ইবনু ‘উমার (রাঃ) অযু করে থাকেন তার কারণ কি? জবাবে ‘আব্দুল্লাহ (রাঃ) বললেন, যায়িদ ইবনুল খাত্তাবের কন্যা আসমা এ মর্মে হাদীস বর্ণনা করেছেন যে, ‘আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনু হানযালাহ তাঁকে বলেছেনঃ রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে প্রত্যেক সালাতের পূর্বে অযু করার নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছিল। চাই তাঁর অযু থাকুক বা না থাকুক। তাঁর জন্য যখন এটা কষ্টকর হয়ে পড়ল, তখন তাঁকে সালাতের পূর্বে কেবল মিসওয়াক করতে নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়। ‘আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনু ‘উমার (রাঃ) নিজের সক্ষমতা অনুভব করে কোন সালাতের জন্যই অযু ত্যাগ করতেন না।[1] হাসান।
Narrated Abdullah b. 'Abd Allah b. 'Umar:
Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban asked Abdullah ibn Abdullah ibn Umar about the reason for Ibn Umar's performing ablution for every prayer, whether he was with or without ablution. He replied: Asma', daughter of Zayd ibn al-Khattab, reported to me that Abdullah ibn Hanzalah ibn AbuAmir narrated to her that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was earlier commanded to perform ablution for every prayer whether or not he was with ablution. When it became a burden for him, he was ordered to use tooth-stick for every prayer. As Ibn Umar thought that he had the strength (to perform the ablution for every prayer), he did not give up performing ablution for every prayer. Abu Dawud said: Ibrahim b. Sa'd narrated this tradition on the authority of Muhammad b. Ishaq, and there he mentions the name of 'Ubaid Allah b. 'Abd Allah (instead of 'Abd Allah b. 'Abd Allah b. 'Umar)
। ‘আয়িশাহ্ (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম মিসওয়াক করছিলেন। তখন তাঁর নিকট এমন দু’ ব্যক্তি ছিল যাদের একজন অপরজনের অপেক্ষা বয়োজ্যেষ্ঠ। এমন সময় তাঁর নিকট মিসওয়াক করার ফাযীলাত সম্পর্কে ওয়াহী নাযিল হলোঃ দু’জনের মধ্যে যে বড় তাকে মিসওয়াক দিন।[1] সহীহ।
Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was using the tooth-stick, when two men, one older than the other, were with him. A revelation came to him about the merit of using the tooth-stick. He was asked to show proper respect and give it to the elder of the two
। যায়িদ ইবনু খালিদ আল-জুহানী (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে বলতে শুনেছিঃ আমার উম্মাতের উপর কষ্টকর না হলে অবশ্যই আমি তাদেরকে প্রত্যেক সালাতের পূর্বে মিসওয়াক করার নির্দেশ দিতাম। আবূ সালামাহ বলেন, আমি যায়িদ (রাঃ)-কে দেখেছি, তিনি মসজিদে বসে থাকতেন, আর মিসওয়াক তার কানের ঐ স্থানে লেগে থাকত, যেখানে লেখকের কলম থাকে। অতঃপর যখনই তিনি সালাতের জন্য যেতেন, মিসওয়াক করে নিতেন।[1] সহীহ।
Narrated Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Were it not hard on my ummah, I would order them to use the tooth-stick at the time of every prayer. AbuSalamah said: Zayd ibn Khalid used to attend the prayers in the mosque with his tooth-stick on his ear where a clerk carries a pen, and whenever he got up for prayer he used it
