। ইবনু ‘উমার (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। এক ব্যক্তি আরেক ব্যক্তির একটি গাছের খেজুর অগ্রিম কিনলো। কিন্তু ঐ বছর কোনো ফল ধরলো না। তারা উভয়ে নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর কাছে বিষয়টি উপস্থাপন করলে তিনি বললেনঃ তুমি কিসের বিনিময়ে তার মাল (নিজের জন্য) বৈধ মনে করলে? তার মাল তাকে ফেরত দাও। অতঃপর তিনি বললেনঃ গাছের খেজুর পরিপক্ক না হওয়া পর্যন্ত তোমরা তার অগ্রিম ক্রয়-বিক্রয় করবে না।
Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:
A man paid in advance for a palm-tree. It did not bear fruit that year. They brought their case for decision to the Prophet (ﷺ). He said: for which do you make his property lawful? He then said: Do not pay in advance for a palm-tree till they (the fruits) were clearly in good condition
। ‘আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনু আওফা আল-আসলামী (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, ‘আমরা রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর সাথে সিরিয়ার যুদ্ধে গিয়েছিলাম। তখন সেখানকার কৃষকরা আমাদের কাছে আসলো। ‘আমরা তাদের থেকে গম এবং যাইতূন নির্ধারিত দামে ও নির্দিষ্ট মেয়াদে অগ্রিম কিনতাম। তাকে বলা হলো, আপনারা কি এমন লোকের কাছ থেকে অগ্রিম কিনতেন যার কাছে তা বর্তমান থাকতো? তিনি বলেন, তাদের নিকট ঐ বস্তু আছে কি না তা ‘আমরা জিজ্ঞেস করতাম না।
Narrated Abdullah ibn AbuAwfa ibn AbuAwfa al-Aslami:
We made a journey to Syria on an expedition along with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). The Nabateans of Syria came to us and we paid in advance to them (in a salam contract) in wheat and olive oil at a specified rate and for a specified time. He asked (by the people): you might have contracted with him who had these things in his possession? He replied: We did not ask them
। আবূ সাঈদ আল-খুদরী (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ যে ব্যক্তি কোনো বস্তু অগ্রিম কিনেছে, সে যেন ঐ বস্তুকে (হস্তগত করার পূর্বে) অন্যের নিকট হস্তান্তর না করে।
Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: If anyone pays in advance he must not transfer it to someone else before he receives it
। ‘আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনু মুজালিদ (রহঃ) অথবা ইবনু আবুল মুজালিদ (রহঃ) সূত্রে এ হাদীস বর্ণিত। তিনি (ইবনু আবূ আওফা) বলেন, এমন লোকদের কাছ থেকে অগ্রিম ক্রয় করতাম যাদের কাছে এগুলো বর্তমান থাকতো না। ইমাম আবূ দাঊদ (রহঃ) বলেন, সঠিক হলো ইবনু আবুল মুজালিদ নামটি। শু‘বাহ তার বর্ণনায় ভুল করেছেন।
The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Ibn Abi al-Mujahid through a different chain of narrators. This version has:"to those people who did not possess these things." Abu Dawud said: What is correct is Ibn Abi al-Mujahid. Shu'bah made a mistake in it
