। সুওয়াইদ ইবনু হানযালাহ (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, একদা ‘আমরা রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর সাথে দেখা করতে রওয়ানা হলাম। তখন আমাদের সাথে ওয়াইল ইবনু হুজর (রাঃ)-ও ছিলেন। এমন সময় তার এক শত্রু তাকে ধরে ফেললো। দলের লোকেরা এ ব্যাপারে শপথ করতে সংকোচবোধে করলে আমি শপথ করে বললাম, সে আমার ভাই। ফলে শত্রু তাকে ছেড়ে দিলো। ‘আমরা রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর নিকট এসে তাঁকে ঘটনাটি জানালাম এবং বললাম, দলের লোকেরা এভাবে শপথ করাকে ভালো মনে করেনি। তাই আমি শপথ করে বলেছি, সে আমার ভাই। তিনি বললেনঃ তুমি সঠিক বলেছো। কেননা এক মুসলিম অপর মুসলিমের ভাই।
Narrated Suwayd ibn Hanzalah:
We went out intending (to visit) the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and Wa'il ibn Hujr was with us. His enemy caught him. The people desisted from swearing an oath, but I took an oath that he was my brother. So he left him. We then came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and I informed him that the people desisted from taking the oath, but I swore that he was my brother. He said: You spoke the truth: A Muslim is a brother of a Muslim
। আবূ হুরাইরাহ (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ তোমার শপথ তখনই গ্রহণযোগ্য হবে যখন তোমার প্রতিপক্ষ তা বিশ্বাস করবে। আবূ দাঊদ (রহঃ) বলেন, ‘আব্বাদ ইবনু আবূ সালিহ এবং ‘আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনু আবূ সালিহ একই লোক।
Narrated Abu Hurairah:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: Your oath should be about something regarding which your companion will believe you. Musaddad said: 'Abd Allah b. Abi Salih narrated to me. Abu Dawud said: Both of them refer to the same person: 'Abbad b. Abu Salih and 'Abd Allah b. Abi Salih
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلاَّمٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو قِلاَبَةَ، أَنَّ ثَابِتَ بْنَ الضَّحَّاكِ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، بَايَعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَنْ حَلَفَ بِمِلَّةٍ غَيْرِ مِلَّةِ الإِسْلاَمِ كَاذِبًا فَهُوَ كَمَا قَالَ وَمَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ بِشَىْءٍ عُذِّبَ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَيْسَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ نَذْرٌ فِيمَا لاَ يَمْلِكُهُ " .
। সাবিত ইবনু দাহহাক (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর কাছে (হুদায়বিয়াতে) গাছের নীচে শপথ গ্রহণ করেছিলেন। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ কেউ ইসলাম ধর্ম ছাড়া অন্য কোনো ধর্মের নামে মিথ্যা শপথ করলে- সে যেরূপ বলতে তাই হবে। কেউ নিজেকে কোনো জিনিস দ্বারা হত্যা (আত্মহত্যা) করলে তাকে কিয়ামতের দিন ঐ জিনিস দ্বারা অবিরত শাস্তি দেয়া হবে। আর কেউ যদি এমন জিনিসের মানত করে যা মালিক সে নয়, তবে এ মানতের কোনো মূল্য নেই।
Narrated Thabit bin Adh-Dahhak:
That he took oath of allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) under the tree. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: If anyone swears by religion other than Islam falsely, he is like what has has said. If anyone kills himself with something, he will be punished with it on the Day of Resurrection. A vow over which a man has no control is not binding on him
। ‘আতা (রহঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বেহুদা কসম খাওয়া সম্পর্কে বলেন, ‘আয়িশাহ (রাঃ) বলেছেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ ‘‘কোনো ব্যক্তির নিজ ঘরে বসে কথাবার্তায় এরূফ বলা যেঃ কখনো নয়, আল্লাহর শপথ! এবং হ্যাঁ, আল্লাহর শপথ
Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said about the futile oath: It is man's speech in his house: No, by Allah, and Yes, by Allah. Abu Dawud said: Ibrahim al-Sa'igh, the narrator of this tradition , was a pious man. Abu Muslim killed him at 'Aranda. When he raised a hammed and heard the call to prayer, he gave it up. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been transmitted by Dawud b. Abi al-Furat from Ibrahim al-Sa'igh as a statement of 'Aishah (not attributed to the Prophet). Similarly, it has been transmitted by al-Zuhri, 'Abd al-Malik b. Abi Sulaiman and Malik b. Mughul. All of them transmitted it from 'Ata on the authority of 'Aishah on her own statement
