। উরওয়াহ ইবনুয যুবায়র (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। একদা হিশাম ইবনু হাকীম ইবনু হিযাম (রাঃ) দেখেন, হিমসের শাসক কতিপয় কিবতীর কাছ থেকে জিযয়া আদায় করতে তাদেরকে রোদের মধ্যে দাঁড় করিয়ে রেখেছে। তিনি বললেন, এ কী ব্যাপার? আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে বলতে শুনেছিঃ যারা দুনিয়াতে মানুষকে অহেতুক শাস্তি দিবে, কিয়ামতের দিন মহান আল্লাহ তাদেরকে শাস্তি দিবেন।
‘Urwa bin Al Zubair said “Hisham bin Halim bin Hizam found a man who was the governor of Hims making some Copts stand in the sun for the payment of jizyah. He said “What is this?” I heard the Apostle (ﷺ) as saying “Allaah Most High will punish those who punish the people in this world.”
। ইবনু আব্বাস (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর কাছে যখন বাহরাইনের অধিবাসীদের পক্ষ থেকে রাজবংশের একটি লোক আসলো। যারা ছিলো হাজার এলাকার অগ্নিপূজারী সম্প্রদায়। সে কিছুক্ষণ তাঁর নিকট অবস্থান করে বেরিয়ে গেলো। আমি তাকে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রাসূল তোমাদের জন্য কি ফায়সালা দিলেন? তখন সে বললো, মন্দ ফায়সালা দিয়েছেন। ইবনু আব্বাস (রাঃ) বলেন, ‘আব্দুর রাহমান ইবনু আওফ (রাঃ) বলেছেন, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তাদের কাছ থেকে জিযয়া গ্রহণ করেন। ইবনু আব্বাস (রাঃ) বলেন, লোকেরা ‘আব্দুর রাহমান (রাঃ)-এর বক্তব্যকে গ্রহণ করলো এবং আসবাযীর কাছে আমি যা শুনেছিলাম তা বর্জন করলো।
Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas:
A man belonging to Usbadhiyin of the people of Bahrayn, who were the Magians of Hajar, came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and remained with him (for some time), and then came out. I asked him: What have Allah and His Messenger of Allah decided for you? He replied: Evil. I said: Silent. He said: Islam or killing. AbdurRahman ibn Awf said: He accepted jizyah from them. Ibn Abbas said: The people followed the statement of AbdurRahman ibn Awf, and they left that which I heard from the Usbadhi
। হারব ইবনু ‘উবাইদুল্লাহ (রাঃ) থেকে তার নানার সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি (নানা) তার পিতার সূত্রে বর্ণনা করেন যে, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ উশর ধার্য হবে ইয়াহুদী ও নাসারাদের (ব্যবসায়িক পণ্যের) উপর। মুসলিমদের উপর হবে না।
Narrated Ubaydullah:
Harb ibn Ubaydullah told on the authority of his grandfather, his mother's father, that he had it on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Tithes are to be levied on Jews and Christians, but not on Muslims
। বাজালা (রহঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, আমি ছিলাম আহনাফ ইবনু কায়িসের চাচা জাযই ইবনু মু‘আবিয়ার সচিব। ‘উমার (রাঃ)-এর মৃত্যুর এক বছর পূর্বে তার লেখা একটি পত্র আমাদের কাছে আসে। পত্রের বিষয়বস্তু এরূপঃ ‘‘প্রত্যেক যাদুকরকে হত্যা করবে, প্রত্যেক মুহরিম অগ্নিপূজারী স্বামী-স্ত্রীর বিবাহ ছিন্ন করবে এবং তাদেরকে যামযামা থেকে বিরত রাখবে।’’ অতঃপর ‘আমরা একদিনে তিনজন জাদুকর হত্যা করি এবং আল্লাহর কিতাবে বিধিবদ্ধ প্রতিটি অগ্নিপূজারী পুরুষ ও তার মুহরিম স্ত্রীর বৈবাহিক সম্পর্ক ছিন্ন করি। বর্ণনাকারী বলেন, একদা তিনি (জাযই) অনেক খাবার তৈরী করে অগ্নিপূজারীদের ডাকালেন। তিনি তার রানের উপর তরবারি রাখলেন। তারা খাবার খেলো কিন্তু গুনগুন শব্দ করলো না। তারা একটি কিংবা দু’টি খচ্চর বোঝাই রূপা দিলো। কিন্তু ‘উমার (রাঃ) কখনো অগ্নিপূজারীদের কাছ থেকে জিযয়া নেননি। অতঃপর ‘আব্দুর রাহমান ইবনু আওফ (রাঃ) যখন সাক্ষী দেন যে, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ‘হাজার’ এলাকার অগ্নিপূজারীদের কাছ থেকে জিযয়া গ্রহণ করেছেন তখন তিনি তা গ্রহণ করলেন।
Narrated Umar ibn al-Khattab:
Amr ibn Aws and AbulSha'tha' reported that Bujalah said: I was secretary to Jaz' ibn Mu'awiyah, the uncle of Ahnaf ibn Qays. A letter came to us from Umar one year before his death, saying: Kill every magician, separate the relatives of prohibited degrees from the Magians, and forbid them to murmur (before eating). So we killed three magicians in one day, and separated from a Magian husband his wife of a prohibited degree according to the Book of Allah. He prepared abundant food and called them, and placed the sword on his thigh. They ate (the food) but did not murmur. They threw (on the ground) one or two mule-loads of silver. Umar did not take jizyah from Magians until AbdurRahman ibn Awf witnessed that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had taken jizyah from the Magians of Hajar
