। ইবনু ‘আব্বাস (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, একদা নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর নিকট ইয়াহুদীরা এসে বললো, ‘আমরা নিজেরা যে পশু হত্যা করি তা খেয়ে থাকি আর আল্লাহ যা হত্যা করেন তা খাই না। এ প্রেক্ষিতে মহান আল্লাহ অবতীর্ণ করেন, ‘‘যে পশুর উপর আল্লাহর নাম উচ্চারণ করা হয়নি, তার গোশত খেয়ো না’’... আয়াতের শেষ পর্যন্ত (সূরা আল-আন‘আমঃ)
Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas:
The Jews came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: We eat which we kill but we do not eat which Allah kills? So Allah revealed: "Eat not of (meats) on which Allah's name hath not been pronounced." to the end of the verse
। ইবনু আব্বাস (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। মহান আল্লাহর বাণীঃ ‘‘শয়তানরা তাদের সঙ্গীদের মনে বিভিন্ন প্রশ্নের উদ্ভব করে’’- এ আয়াত অবতীর্ণ হওয়ার কারণ সম্পর্কে বর্ণিত আছে, শয়তানের সহযোগীরা বলতো, আল্লাহর যবাহ করা (মরা জন্তু) তোমরা খাও না, অথচ তোমরা নিজেরা যা যবাহ করছো তা খাও! অতঃপর আল্লাহ আয়াত অবতীর্ণ করেন, ‘‘যে পশুর উপর আল্লাহর নাম উচ্চারণ করা হয়নি, তার গোশত খেয়ো না।’’... শেষ পর্যন্ত (সূরা আল-আন‘আমঃ)
Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas:
explaining the verse "But the evil ones ever inspire their friend to contend with you" They used to say: Do not eat which Allah killed, but eat which you slaughtered. So Allah revealed the verse: "Eat not of (meats) on which Allah's name hath not been pronounced"...to the end of the verse
। ইবনু আব্বাস (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ঐসব যবাহকৃত পশুর গোশত খেতে নিষেধ করেছেন যেগুলো আরবের লোকেরা নিজেদের অহংকার প্রকাশার্থে যবাহ করে। আবূ দাঊদ (রহঃ) বলেন, অধস্তন বর্ণনাকারী গুনদার এটি ইবনু ‘আব্বাস (রাঃ)-এর উক্তি হিসাবে বর্ণনা করেছেন। আবূ দাঊদ (রহঃ) বলেন, আবূ রাইহানার নাম ‘আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনু মাতার।
Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade to eat (the meat of animals) slaughtered by the bedouins for vainglory and pride. Abu Dawud said: The narrator Ghundar narrated this tradition as a saying of Ibn 'Abbas (and not of the Prophet)
। ইবনু ‘আব্বাস (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, (আল্লাহর বাণীঃ) ‘‘যে পশুর উপর আল্লাহর নাম উচ্চারণ করা হয় তোমরা তার গোশত খাও’’[সূরা আল-আন‘আমঃ ১১৮] ‘‘যে পশুর উপর আল্লাহর নাম উচ্চারণ করা হয়নি, তার গোশত খেয়ো না’’[সূরা আল-আন‘আমঃ ১২১] এর হুকুম রহিত হয়ে গেছে। এটি আহলে কিতাবের যবাহ করা পশুর ব্যাপারে প্রযোজ্য নয়। (আল্লাহর বাণীঃ) ‘‘আহলে কিতাবের খাদ্য তোমাদের জন্য হালাল এবং তোমাদের খাদ্যও তাদের জন্য হালাল’’[সূরা আল-মায়িদাহঃ]

The verse: "So eat of (meats) on which Allah's name hath been pronounced" and the verse: "Eat not of (meats) on which Allah's name hath not been pronounced" were abrogated, meaning an exception was made therein by the verse: "The food of the people of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them
