। ‘আলী (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, বদরের দিন যুদ্ধের ময়দানে ‘উতবাহ ইবনু রবী‘আহ অগ্রসর হলো এবং তার পিছনে তার ছেলে ও তার ভাই আসলো। ‘উতবাহ ডেকে বললো, আমার মোকাবিলা করার মত কে আছো? কতিপয় আনসার যুবক তার জবাব দিলে ‘উতবাহ বললো, তোমরা কে? তারা তাকে জবাব দিয়ে জানালো। সে বললো, তোমাদের সাথে যুদ্ধ করার ইচ্ছা আমাদের নেই। ‘আমরা আমাদের চাচাতো ভাইদের চাই। একথা শুনে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেনঃ উঠো হে আলী, হে হামযাহ, ওঠো হে ‘উবাইদাহ ইবনুল হারিস। হামযাহ (রাঃ) ‘উতবাহর দিকে এবং আমি (‘আলী) শইবাহর দিকে অগ্রসর হয়ে উভয়কে হত্যা করলাম। ‘উবাইদাহ (রাঃ) ও ওয়ালীদের মধ্যে যুদ্ধ চলতে থাকলো। দু’জনেই দু’জনকে আহত করলো। অতঃপর ‘আমরা ওয়ালীদের দিকে অগ্রসর হয়ে তাকে হত্যা করলাম এবং আহত ‘উবাইদাহকে তুলে আনলাম।
Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib:
(At the battle of Badr) Utbah ibn Rabi'ah came forward followed by his son and his brother and cried out: Who will be engaged in single combat? Some young men of the Helpers responded to his call. He asked: Who are you? They told him. He said: We do not want you; we, in fact, want only our cousins. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Get up Hamzah get up Ali; get up Ubaydah ibn al-Harith. Hamzah went forward to Utbah, I went forward to Shaybah; and after two blows had been exchanged between Ubaydah and al-Walid, they wounded one another severely; so we turned against al-Walid and killed him, and we carried Ubaydah away
। মালিক ইবনু হামযাহ ইবনু আবূ উসাইদ আস-সাইদী (রাঃ) থেকে তার পিতা ও দাদার সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি (দাদা) বলেন, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বদরের যুদ্ধের দিন বললেনঃ শত্রুরা তীরের নাগালে এসে গেলে তোমাদের ধনুক থেকে তীর ছুড়বে এবং তোমাদের তরবারির কাছাকাছি না আসা পর্যন্ত তরবারি চালাবে না।
Narrated AbuUsayd as-Sa'idi:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said at the battle of Badr: When they come near you shoot arrows at them; and do not draw swords at them until they come near you
। হামযাহ ইবনু আবূ উসাইদ (রহঃ) থেকে তার পিতার সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি (পিতা) বলেন, ‘আমরা বদর প্রান্তরে সারিবদ্ধ হওয়ার সময় রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেনঃ শত্রুসৈন্য তোমাদের নাগালে এসে গেলে তোমরা তীর ছুড়বে এবং কিছু তীর অবশিষ্ট রাখবে।
Abu Usaid reported the Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) as saying to us at the battle of Badr when he drew up in rows. When they came near you, shoot arrows at them, but do not use all your arrows
