। ‘আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনু ‘উমার (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কর্তৃক প্রেরিত কোনো এক সামরিক অভিযানকারী দলের সঙ্গে ছিলেন। তিনি বলেন, সৈন্যরা (কৌশলগত কারণে) পলায়ন করলে ‘আমিও তাদের সাথে আত্মগোপন করি। অতঃপর বিপদমুক্ত হয়ে বাইরে এসে পরামর্শ করি, এখন কি করা যায়? ‘আমরা তো যুদ্ধক্ষেত্র থেকে পালানোর কারণে আল্লাহর অসন্তুষ্টির পাত্র হয়েছি। ‘আমরা বললাম, চলো ‘আমরা মদীনাহ গিয়ে আত্মগোপন করে থাকি যেন কেউ আমাদের দেখতে না পায়। দ্বিতীয়বার জিহাদের সুযোগ এলে ‘আমরা তাতে যোগদান করবো। ইবনু ‘উমার (রাঃ) বলেন, অতঃপর ‘আমরা মদীনায় প্রবেশ করে পরস্পর বলাবলি করলাম, ‘আমরা যদি নিজেদেরকে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর সামনে পেশ করি এবং আমাদের জন্য যদি তওবার সুযোগ থাকে তাহলে মদীনায় থেকে যাবো। এর বিপরীত কিছু হলে মদীনাহ্ ছেড়ে চলে যাবো। তিনি (ইবনু ‘উমার) বলেন, ‘আমরা ফজরের সালাতের পূর্বেই (মসজিদে) গিয়ে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর অপেক্ষায় বসে থাকলাম। অতঃপর তিনি বেরিয়ে এলে ‘আমরা দাঁড়িয়ে বললাম, ‘আমরা তো পলাতক সৈনিক। তিনি আমাদের দিকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে বললেনঃ না, বরং তোমরা পুনরায় যুদ্ধে যোগদানকারী। ইবনু ‘উমার (রাঃ) বলেন, অতঃপর ‘আমরা তাঁর কাছে গিয়ে তাঁর হাতে চুমু দিলাম। তিনি বললেনঃ আমি মুসলিমের আশ্রয়স্থল।
Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:
Ibn Umar was sent with a detachment of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). The people wheeled round in flight. He said: I was one of those who wheeled round in flight. When we stopped, we said (i.e. thought): How should we do? We have run away from the battlefield and deserve Allah's wrath. Then we said (thought): Let us enter Medina, stay there, and go there while no one sees us. So we entered (Medina) and thought: If we present ourselves before the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and if there is a change of repentance for us, we shall stay; if there is something else, we shall go away. So we sat down (waiting) for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) before the dawn prayer. When he came out, we stood up to him and said: We are the ones who have fled. He turned to us and said: No, you are the ones who return to fight after wheeling away. We then approached and kissed his hand, and he said; I am the main body of the Muslims
। ইবনু ‘আব্বাস (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, (মহান আল্লাহর বাণী) ‘‘যদি তোমাদের বিশজন ধৈর্যশীল লোক থাকে, তবে তারা দু’শ (কাফির) ব্যক্তির উপর বিজয়ী হবে’’[সূরা আল-আনফালঃ আয়াত ৬৫] এ আয়াত অবতীর্ণ করে আল্লাহ মুসলিমদের উপর ধার্য করে দিলেন যে, একজন মুসলিম সৈন্যের বিরুদ্ধে দশজন কাফির থাকলে সে পালাতে পারবে না। বিষয়টি মুসলিমদের কাছে খুবই কঠিন নির্দেশ বলে মনে হলো। অতঃপর তাদের জন্য সহজ হুকুম আসলো। মহান আল্লাহ বলেন, ‘‘এখন আল্লাহ তোমাদের প্রতি নির্দেশ হালকা করে দিয়েছেন। তিনি জেনেছেন, এখনো তোমাদের মধ্যে দুর্বলতা আছে। সুতরাং তোমাদের একশ ধৈর্যশীল লোক তাদের দু’শো লোকের উপর বিজয়ী হবে’’[সূরা আল-আনফালঃ আয়াত ৬৬] বর্ণনাকারী আবূ তওবা (রহঃ) ‘ইয়াগলিবূ মিআতাইন পর্যন্ত পড়লেন। ইবনু ‘আব্বাস বলেন, আল্লাহ যখন তাদের সংখ্যা কমিয়ে দিলেন, সেই পরিমাণে তাদের ধৈর্য্যও কমে গেলো।
Ibn ‘Abbas said “When the verse “If there are twenty amongst you patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundred” was revealed. It was heavy and troublesome for Muslims when Allaah prescribed for them that one (fighting Muslim) should not fly from ten (fighting Non-Muslims). Then a light commandment was revealed saying “For the present Allaah hath lightened your (task).” The narrator Abu Tawbah recited the verse to “they will vanquish two hundred.” When Allaah lightened the number, patient and perseverance also decreased according to the number lightened from them.”
। জারীর ইবনু ‘আব্দুল্লাহ (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম খাস‘আম গোত্রের বিরুদ্ধে একটি ক্ষুদ্র বাহিনী প্রেরণ করলেন। সৈন্যদল সেখানে পৌঁছে দেখলো যে, ঐ গোত্রের কিছু লোক সাজদায় পড়ে আছে। কিন্তু এ সত্ত্বেও তাদেরকে তাড়াতাড়ি হত্যা করা হলো। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর কাছে এ সংবাদ পৌঁছলে তিনি তাদের ওয়ারিশদেরকে অর্ধেক দিয়াত (রক্তপন) প্রদানের নির্দেশ দিলেন। তিনি বললেনঃ আমি ঐ মুসলিম থেকে দায়মুক্ত যারা মুশরিকদের মধ্যে বসবাস করে। লোকেরা জিজ্ঞেস করলো, হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! রক্তপনের অর্ধেক রহিত হওয়ার কারণ কি? তিনি বললেনঃ দু’ অঞ্চলের আগুনকে এক দৃষ্টিতে দেখা যাবে না।
Narrated Jarir ibn Abdullah:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent an expedition to Khath'am. Some people sought protection by having recourse to prostration, and were hastily killed. When the Prophet (ﷺ) heard that, he ordered half the blood-wit to be paid for them, saying: I am not responsible for any Muslim who stays among polytheists. They asked: Why, Messenger of Allah? He said: Their fires should not be visible to one another. Abu Dawud said: Hushaim, Ma'mar, Khalid b. al-Wasiti and a group of narrators have also narrated it, but did not mention Jarir
