। ইবনু ‘আব্বাস (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, (মহান আল্লাহর বাণীঃ) ‘‘তোমরা যুদ্ধের জন্য বের না হলে তিনি তোমাদেরকে পীড়াদায়ক শাস্তি দিবেন ... (সূরা আত-তওবাঃ আয়াত ৩৬) ‘‘মদীনার অধিবাসী... তারা যা করে’’ পর্যন্ত (সূরা আত-তওবাঃ ১২০-১২১) উল্লিখিত আয়াতগুলোর হুকুম নিম্নের আয়াত দ্বারা মানসুখ হয়েছেঃ ‘‘সকল মুমিনের একসঙ্গে বের হওয়া জরুরী নয়...। (সূরা আত-তওবাঃ)
Ibn ‘Abbas said “The Qur’anic verse “Unless you go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and the verse “It is not fitting for the people of Medina”... up to “that Allaah might required their deed with the best (possible reward) have been repealed by the verse. Nor should the believers all go forth together.”
। নাজাদা ইবনু নুফাই (রাঃ) বলেন, আমি ইবনু ‘আব্বাস (রাঃ)-কে এ আয়াত সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস করলামঃ ‘‘তোমরা যুদ্ধের জন্য বের না হলে তিনি তোমাদেরকে পীড়াদায়ক শাস্তি দিবেন..[সূরা আত-তওবাঃ আয়াত ৩৯] তিনি বললেন, (যারা যুদ্ধে যায়নি) তাদের প্রতি বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ বন্ধ রাখা হয়েছিল। আর এটাই ছিলো তাদের শাস্তি (অর্থাৎ দুর্ভিক্ষ)।
Najdah bin Nufai’ said “I asked Ibn ‘Abbas about the verse. “Unless you go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty.” He replied “The rain stopped from them. This was their punishment.”
। আবূ উমামাহ (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ যে নিজে জিহাদ করেনি বা কোনো মুজাহিদকে জিহাদের সরঞ্জামের ব্যবস্থা করে দেয়নি অথবা মুজাহিদ পরিবারের উপকারও করেনি, আল্লাহ কিয়ামতের পূর্বে তাকে কঠিন বিপদে ফেলবেন।

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: He who does not join the warlike expedition (jihad), or equip, or looks well after a warrior's family when he is away, will be smitten by Allah with a sudden calamity. Yazid ibn Abdu Rabbihi said in his tradition: 'before the Day of Resurrection
