। রবী‘আহ ইবনু কা‘ব আল-আসলামী (রাঃ) বলেন, যখন আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর সাথে রাত যাপন করতাম, তখন তাঁর অযুর পানি ও অন্যান্য প্রয়োজন পূরণ করে দিতাম। তিনি বললেনঃ তুমি আমার কাছে কিছূ চাও। আমি বললাম, জান্নাতে আপনার সান্নিধ্যে থাকতে চাই। তিনি জিজ্ঞেস করলেনঃ আরো কিছু? আমি বললাম, এটাই যথেষ্ট। তিনি বললেনঃ তাহলে অধিক পরিমাণে সিজদা্ করে এ কাজে আমাকে সাহায্য করো।[1] সহীহ : মুসলিম।
Narrated Rab'iah b. Ka'b al-Aslami:
I used to live with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) at night. I would bring water for his ablution and his need. He asked: Ask me. I said: Your company in Paradise. He said: Is there anything other than that ? I said: It is only that. He said: Help me for yourself by making prostrations abundantly
। আনাস ইবনু মালিক (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। আল্লাহর বাণীঃ ‘‘তারা (মুমিনরা) স্বীয় পিঠ হতে বিছানা ত্যাগ করে তাদের রব্বকে ভয় ও আশা নিয়ে ডাকে, আর আমরা তাদেরকে যা কিছু রিযিক্ব দিয়েছি তা হতে খরচ করে’’ (সূরাহ আস্-সিজদা : ১৬)। তিনি বলেন, এ আয়াতের অর্থ হচ্ছে, তারা (সাহাবীগণ) মাগরিব এবং ‘ইশার মধ্যবর্তী সময় জেগে থেকে সালাত আদায় করতেন। বর্ণনাকারী বলেন, হাসান বাসরী বলেছেন, এ আয়াতের অর্থ হলো, রাত জেগে সালাতে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা।[1] সহীহ।
Anas b. Malik said (explaining the meaning of the Qur'anic verse "Who forsake their beds to cry unto their Lord in fear and hope, and spend of what We have bestowed on them" (32:16). The people used to remain awake between the sunset and the night prayers and would pray. Al-Hasan used to say:(This verse means) the prayer and vigil at night
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ : مَا أَلْفَاهُ السَّحَرُ عِنْدِي إِلاَّ نَائِمًا، تَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
। ‘আয়িশাহ্ (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, তিনি সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম আমার নিকট যখনই ভোর করেছেন, (আমি তাকে) নিদ্রাবস্থায় পেয়েছি।[1] সহীহ : বুখারী ও মুসলিম।

When he was with me he would sleep at dawn. By this she referred to the Prophet (ﷺ)
