Surah At-Tur (“The Mount”) is the 52nd surah of the Quran: a Makkan surah of 49 ayahs.
Background
A Makkan surah. Jubayr ibn Mut‘im, still a disbeliever, heard the Prophet ﷺ recite it in Maghrib and said his heart almost flew — the first time faith settled in his heart (Bukhari 4854).

وَٱلطُّورِ ١
By the mount
وَكِتَٰبٍۢ مَّسْطُورٍۢ ٢

প্রেক্ষাপট
মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ। জুবাইর ইবনে মুত‘ইম (রা.) কাফির থাকা অবস্থায় মাগরিবে রাসূলুল্লাহ ﷺ-কে এটি পড়তে শুনে বলেছিলেন, আমার অন্তর যেন উড়ে যাচ্ছিল — সেদিনই প্রথম তাঁর অন্তরে ঈমান জায়গা নেয় (বুখারী ৪৮৫৪)।
