Surah Al-Ikhlas (“Sincerity”) is the 112th surah of the Quran: a Makkan surah of 4 ayahs.
Background
Revealed when people asked the Prophet ﷺ to describe his Lord. Its name, al-Ikhlas, means sincerity — purifying belief in Allah.

Virtue
The Prophet ﷺ said it equals a third of the Quran (Bukhari 5013). A companion who loved it and recited it in every prayer was told: “Your love of it will admit you to Paradise.” (Bukhari 774, Tirmidhi 2901)

প্রেক্ষাপট
লোকেরা যখন রাসূলুল্লাহ ﷺ-কে তাঁর রবের পরিচয় জানতে চেয়েছিল, তখন অবতীর্ণ। ইখলাস অর্থ একনিষ্ঠতা — আল্লাহর প্রতি বিশ্বাসকে সব ভেজাল থেকে মুক্ত করা।

ফজিলত
রাসূলুল্লাহ ﷺ বলেছেন, এটি কুরআনের এক-তৃতীয়াংশের সমান (বুখারী ৫০১৩)। যে সাহাবি এটি ভালোবেসে প্রতি নামাজে পড়তেন, তাঁকে বলা হয়েছিল: “এর প্রতি তোমার ভালোবাসা তোমাকে জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করাবে।” (বুখারী ৭৭৪, তিরমিযী ২৯০১)
