রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ মুসলিম ঐ ব্যাক্তি যার হাত ও রসনা হতে অন্য মানুষ নিরাপদ থাকে। আর মু'মিন ঐ ব্যক্তি যার থেকে অন্য লোক নিজের জান ও মালকে নিরাপদ মনে করে।
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that:The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the people are safe, and the believer is the one from whom the people's lives and wealth are safe
কুতায়বা (রহঃ) ... বিশর ইবন সুহায়ম (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তাকে আইয়ামে তাশরীকে এই কথা ঘোষণা করতে বললেন যে, জান্নাতে শুধু মু'মিনই প্রবেশ করবে।
It was narrated from Bishr bin Suhaim that:The Prophet [SAW] commanded him to call out on the days of At-Tashriq that no one would enter Paradise except a believer, and that these were the days of eating and drinking
আমর ইবন আলী (রহঃ) ... আবদুল্লাহ ইবন উমর (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে বলতে শুনেছিঃ মুসলিম ঐ ব্যক্তি, যার হাত ও রসনা হতে অন্য মুসলিম নিরাপদ থাকে, আর মুহাজির ঐ ব্যক্তি, যে আল্লাহর নিষিদ্ধ বস্তু থেকে দূরে থাকে।
It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Amr said:"I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: "The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe, and the Muhajir is the one who forsakes (Hajara) that which Allah has forbidden to him
রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কিছু মাল বণ্টন করলেন। তিনি কতিপয় লোককে দিলেন, আর অপর কতককে দিলেন না। আমি জিজ্ঞাসা করলামঃ ইয়া রাসূলাল্লাহ! আপনি অমুক অমুককে দান করলেন, অমুককে দান করলেন না, অথচ সেও মু'মিন। তখন রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন : মু'মিন বলো না, বরং বলো মুসলিম। এরপর রাবী ইবন শিহাব (রহঃ) এই আয়াত (قَالَتْ الْأَعْرَابُ آمَنَّا) অর্থঃ “বেদুঈনগণ বলে, আমরা ঈমান এনেছি। বল, তোমরা ঈমান আননি; বরং তোমরা বল আমরা ইসলাম গ্রহণ (বাহ্যিক আনুগত্য প্রকাশ) করেছি” (হুজুরাতঃ ১৪)। তিলাওয়াত করলেন।
