Hadith 1251
وَقَدْ رَوَى أَبُو دَاوُدَ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ أَحْسَنَ مِنْهُ : { أَنَّ رُكَانَةَ طَلَّقَ اِمْرَأَتَهُ سُهَيْمَةَ اَلْبَتَّةَ , فَقَالَ : "وَاَللَّهِ مَا أَرَدْتُ بِهَا إِلَّا وَاحِدَةً, فَرَدَّهَا إِلَيْهِ اَلنَّبِيُّ ‏-صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ } ‏- 1‏ .‏‏1 ‏- ضعيف .‏ رواه أبو داود ( 2206 )‏ وله علل.‏

Narrated Abu Dawud has reported (a Hadith) better than the aforesaid one through another chain, it has:

"Abu Rukana divorced his wife Suhaimah irrevocably and said, 'I swear by Allah that I meant it to be only a single utterance of divorce,' so the Prophet (ﷺ) returned her to him."

Hadith 1250
وَفِي لَفْظٍ لِأَحْمَدَ : { طَلَّقَ أَبُو رُكَانَةَ اِمْرَأَتَهُ فِي مَجْلِسٍ وَاحِدٍ ثَلَاثًا , فَحَزِنَ عَلَيْهَا , فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-" فَإِنَّهَا وَاحِدَةٌ } وَفِي سَنَدِهَا اِبْنُ إِسْحَاقَ , وَفِيهِ مَقَالٌ 1‏ .‏‏1 ‏- ضعيف .‏ رواه أحمد (165)‏ وليست علته في ابن إسحاق ، وإنما له علة أخرى.‏

Narrated A wording by Ahmad has:

Abu Rukana divorced his wife with three pronouncements, in one sitting. Then, he was grieved about her and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) told him, "They (the three pronouncements) are reckoned as a single (utterance of divorce)."

Hadith 1252
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏- رضى الله عنه ‏- قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-{ ثَلَاثٌ جِدُّهنَّ جِدٌّ , وَهَزْلُهُنَّ جِدٌّ : اَلنِّكَاحُ , وَالطَّلَاقُ , وَالرَّجْعَةُ } رَوَاهُ اَلْأَرْبَعَةُ إِلَّا النَّسَائِيَّ , وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِمُ 1‏ .‏‏1 ‏- حسن .‏ رواه أبو داود (2194)‏ ، والترمذي (1184)‏ ، وابن ماجه ( 2039 )‏ ، وله شواهد منها ما ذكره الحافظ هنا ، وانظر " التلخيص " (3 / 209 ‏- 210 )‏.‏

Narrated Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA):

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "There are three things which, whether undertaken seriously or in jest, are treated as serious: marriage, divorce and taking back a wife after a divorce which is not final."

Hadith 1249
وَعَنِ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ‏- رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا‏- قَالَ : { طَلَّقَ أَبُو رُكَانَةَ أُمَّ رُكَانَةَ .‏ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-" رَاجِعِ امْرَأَتَكَ " , فَقَالَ : إِنِّي طَلَّقْتُهَا ثَلَاثًا.‏ قَالَ : " قَدْ عَلِمْتُ , رَاجِعْهَا } رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ 1‏ .‏‏1 ‏- ضعيف .‏ رواه أبو داود (2196)‏ بسند ضعيف.‏

Narrated Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (RA):

Abu Rukana divorced Umm Rukana. So Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) told him, "Take your wife back." And he replied, "I have divorced her with three pronouncements." He said, "I have understood, take her back."
