(إِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَاٰمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَأُولٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللهُ سَيِّئٰتِهِمْ حَسَنٰتٍ ط وَكَانَ اللهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا). ‘‘তবে তারা নয় যারা তাওবা করে, ঈমান আনে ও সৎ কাজ করে; আল্লাহ এরূপ লোকের পাপসমূহকে পুণ্যে পরিবর্তিত করে দেবেন। আল্লাহ্ পরম ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু।’’ (সূরাহ ফুরক্বান ২৫/৭০) ৪৭৬৬. সা‘ঈদ ইবনু যুবায়র (রহ.) হতে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, ‘আবদুর রহমান ইবনু আব্যা (রাঃ) আমাকে নির্দেশ দিলেন যে, আমি যেন ইবনু ‘আব্বাস (রাঃ)-এর কাছে এ দু’টি আয়াত সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস করি। وَمَنْ يَّقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُّتَعَمِّدًا আমি তাকে (এ আয়াত সম্পর্কে) জিজ্ঞেস করায় তিনি বললেন, এ আয়াতকে অন্য কিছু মানসূখ করেনি এবং وَالَّذِيْنَ لَا يَدْعُوْنَ مَعَ اللهِ إِلَهًااٰخَرَ সম্পর্কেও জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, তিনি [‘আব্বাস (রাঃ)] বললেন, এ আয়াত মুশরিকদের সম্পর্কে নাযিল হয়েছে। [৩৮৫৫] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৪৪০৩, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Sa`id bin Jubair:
`Abdur-Rahman bin Abza ordered me to ask Ibn `Abbas regarding the two Verses (the first of which was ): "And whosoever murders a believer intentionally." (4.93) So I asked him, and he said, "Nothing has abrogated this Verse." About (the other Verse): 'And those who invoke not with Allah any other god.' he said, "It was revealed concerning the pagans
তিনি বলেন, ইবনু আবযা (রাঃ) বলেন, ইবনু ‘আব্বাসকে জিজ্ঞেস করা হল, আল্লাহ্ তা‘আলার বাণীঃ ‘‘কেউ ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে কোন মু’মিনকে হত্যা করলে তার শাস্তি জাহান্নাম’’ এবং আল্লাহর এ বাণীঃ ‘‘এবং আল্লাহ যার হত্যা নিষেধ করেছেন যথার্থ কারণ ব্যতীত, তারা তাকে হত্যা করে না’’ এবং ‘‘কিন্তু যারা তওবা করে’’ পর্যন্ত সম্পর্কে। আমিও তাঁকে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম। তখন তিনি উত্তরে বললেন, যখন এ আয়াত নাযিল হল তখন মক্কা্বাসী বলল, আমরা আল্লাহর সাথে শারীক করেছি, আল্লাহ্ যার হত্যা নিষিদ্ধ করেছেন যথার্থ কারণ ব্যতীত তাকে হত্যা করেছি এবং আমরা অশ্লীল কার্যে লিপ্ত হয়েছি। তারপর আল্লাহ তা‘আলা এ আয়াত অবতীর্ণ করলেন, ‘‘যারা তওবাহ করে, ঈমান আনে ও সৎকর্ম করে।’’ إِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَاٰمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا থেকে غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا পর্যন্ত। [৩৮৫৫; মুসলিম ৫৪/হাঃ ৩০২৩] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৪৪০২, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Sa`id bin Jubair:
Ibn Abza said to me, "Ask Ibn `Abbas regarding the Statement of Allah: 'And whoever murders a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell.' (4.69) And also His Statement: '...nor kill such life as Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause .....except those who repent, believe, and do good deeds.' " (25.68-70) So I asked Ibn `Abbas and he said, "When this (25.68-69) was revealed, the people of Mecca said, "We have invoked other gods with Allah, and we have murdered such lives which Allah has made sacred, and we have committed illegal sexual intercourse. So Allah revealed: 'Except those who repent, believe, and do good deeds and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful

Narrated `Abdullah:
Five (great events) have passed: the Smoke, the Moon, the Romans, the Mighty grasp and the constant Punishment which occurs in 'So the torment will be yours forever
তিনি বলেন, আমি ইবনু ‘আব্বাস (রাঃ)-কে আল্লাহ্ তা‘আলার বাণীঃ فَجَزَآؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ (তাদের পরিণতি জাহান্নাম) সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম। তিনি বললেন, তার জন্য তওবার সুযোগ নেই। এরপরে আমি আল্লাহ্ তা‘আলার বাণীঃ لَا يَدْعُوْنَ مَعَ اللهِ إِلَهًااٰخَرَ সম্পর্কে তাঁকে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম। তিনি বললেন, এ আয়াত মুশরিকদের ব্যাপারে (নাযিল হয়েছে)।[৩৮৫৫] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৪৪০১, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Sa`id bin Jubair:
I asked Ibn `Abbas about Allah's saying:-- '.. this reward is Hell Fire.' (4.93) He said, "No repentance is accepted from him (i.e. the murderer of a believer)."
